Julie M. Wood, EdD, is an international educational consultant a creative educational media developer, literacy advisor, writer, researcher, speaker, blogger, and digital media expert. Dr. Julie served as a Director of the Jeanne Chall Reading Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). Her clients include Apple, Disney Interactive, Nickelodeon, and PBS Interactive where she serves as the Senior Literacy Advisor for new projects.  Dr. Julie regularly presents on topics regarding education and literacy. Her writing has been featured in Instructor Magazine, Scholastic Administrator, and the Language Arts Journal. A former public school teacher and editor, Dr. Julie holds an Ed.M in Technology Innovation & Education and an Ed.D. in Language & Literacy from HGSE. She currently serves as the Academic Learning Specialist at the Kingsley Montessori School in Boston. Her co-authored book (Harvard Education Press) on integrating new technologies into teaching, with U.K. educator Nicole Ponsford, will be available in 2014.
