Travis White-Schwoch

Travis White-Schwoch is a Research Data Analyst at the Northwestern University Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory. White-Schwoch is interested in central auditory physiology and learning-associated neuroplasticity, especially with respect to speech and language across the lifespan. His special interests include reading, child development, and hearing loss. Currently he is working to design EEG-based neurodiagnostic markers of a child’s future literacy, with the goal of identifying children at risk for learning disabilities prior to reading instruction. White-Schwoch has also worked on several randomized control trials to evaluate brain plasticity-based interventions in the community and clinic in vulnerable populations, including at-risk children and older adults. Ultimately, White-Schwoch’s goal is to bridge the gap from early identification to early intervention to improve child literacy and learning.
